Biography

Simon Hogue is an Assistant Professor of International Studies at the Royal Military College Saint-Jean. At the junction of the study of technologies, culture, and social control, his research raises the issues of power and resistance in the context of datafied societies. His research looks more specifically at activism and citizenship, data surveillance, and the algorithmic governance of security in the age of digital ubiquity and big data.
