Mission

There are many ethical issues surrounding integrity in research, but public confidence in those involved in research, the research process itself and research results are centralFootnote 1. It is in this context that the Royal Military College Saint-Jean developed and adopted in 2020 the Policy on Integrity in Research, which complements the Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans of RMC Saint-Jean.

Research on humans can contribute to our knowledge but carries ethical risks. Steps must therefore be taken to ensure that research is conducted in a responsible manner in order to preserve the public trust and the integrity of those engaged in this research. Through its Ethics Policy, RMC Saint-Jean wants to ensure that research activities involving human beings meet recognized ethical standards and, at the same time, meet the expectations of granting agencies for researchers receiving external funding.
